The Remita Corporate Championship Cup, popularly known as RC3, would commence on Saturday 12th August 2017 and feature winners and runners-up of various sector-based competitions across Nigeria’s corporate clime covering banking, telecoms, insurance, and FMCG. The knock-out based tournament would hold at the Sports Pavilion of Yaba College of Technology for a period of three weeks.

This disclosure was made at a press conference held by the organisers of the tournament, MediaVision Limited and attended by the representative of participating teams, to announce the commencement of the 2017 edition of competition which is regarded as the most prestigious league of all corporate football competitions in Nigeria.

Now in its 3rd edition and sponsored since inception by SystemSpecs, Nigeria’s leading financial technology firms and owners of Remita, the electronic payment platform, the 2017 edition of RC3 would feature eight top brands from corporate Nigeria: First Bank, UBA, VConnect, IHS, 9Mobile, Leadway Assurance, FrieslandCampina, and Nestle

Speaking on expectations from the competition, one-time goalie of the Super Eagles and tournament ambassador, Peter Rufai, noted that “With all that is on ground, the 2017 edition of RC3 would be more exciting than all others in the past.”

“Nigerians across the length and breadth of this nation should expect nothing short of football at its best from all participating corporate teams,” Dodo Mayana continued.
With admission to all matches open to everyone at no cost at all and anticipation almost at a crescendo, RC3 is expected to attract not only the footballers representing various organisations but also friends, families, staff, as well as supporters of various teams.
