SystemSpecs and Precise Financial Systems (PFS), unarguably Nigeria’s most innovative software and fintech firms made Nigeria proud at the 36th edition of GITEX Technology Week in Dubai, United Arab Emirate (UAE).
They exploited the brand association GITEX offered and launched two mobile solutions at the Nigeria Pavilion. While SystemSpecs released Remita mobile applications, PFS launched mobile iTeller cheque truncation.

SystemSpecs said millions of Nigerians can make payments from any commercial or micro-finance bank accounts or through any debit or credit card to thousands of merchants and billers in Nigeria when the mobile version of Remita app is released by year-end.
Executive Director of SystemSpecs , Deremi Atanda reiterated that Remita mobile app would enable individuals or organisations to view in real-time account balances held in different banks on the app. With this app, users can make payments using the latest scan-to-pay and tap-to-pay technologies.
Atanda said Remita is a “one stop payment app” that easily addresses the diverse needs of customers who currently need to download and use many payment apps simultaneously.
Managing Director/CEO of PFS, Yele Okeremi, said iTeller cheque truncation mobile solution allows bank customers to deposit cheques from the comfort of their smartphones. He explained that the app would be available on the banks’ mobile application platforms for the convenience of the customers. According to him, leading Nigerian banks that are customer-savvy have already engaged the company.
With this application, customers can use the camera in their mobile phones to capture cheque images and MICR details and send the same to their banks for clearing.
PFS has established itself as the leader in cheque truncation space, the first software house in Nigeria with a 3600 solutions suite for cheque personalization, payment processing, deposit capture (mobile, remote, kiosk, and cashier transport scanner), truncation and clearing processing.
The solution will make cheque deposit services available to the customers 24/7. As Okeremi said, benefits of the solution are numerous. It will reduce high traffic in the banking halls. It will save cost of cheque deposit and management. It will shorten the time-to-value for cheques. It will provide convenience to bank customers.
