John Obaro is FATE Foundation Model Entrepreneur

On November 28th 2018, SystemSpecs’ Managing Director, John Obaro emerged as the 2018 FATE Model Entrepreneur of the Year.

 

At an event recently held in Lagos to recognise the Managing Director of SystemSpecs, John Obaro as the winner of the FATE Foundation Model Entrepreneur Award and also celebrate the Foundation’s entrepreneurship programmes. John Obaro was represented at the event by ‘Deremi Atanda, SystemSpecs’ Executive Director.

 

The Annual FATE Foundation Model Entrepreneur (FME) Award is given each year since 2001 to celebrate and recognise ethical Nigerian men and women who have successfully established fast-growing businesses, created employment, and are contributing to the growth of other businesses in the country. The key ideals for nomination include values and ethical standards of the Entrepreneur/Founder; demonstration of social responsibility and impact including job creation; notable accomplishments; and recorded milestones by the business.

 

Over the years, the nominees for the FME Award have included Mrs. Ibukun Awosika, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Mr. Cosmas Maduka, Mrs. Nike Ogunlesi, Mr. Frank Nneji, Mrs. Stella Okoli, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, Mr. Udeme Ufot and Mrs. Kofo Akinkugbe.

 

FATE Foundation is a non-profit private-sector led organisation aimed at tackling the high rate of unemployment and poverty in Nigeria by harnessing the strong entrepreneurial culture of Nigerians and providing the support required to fully explore their innovative potential.
