‘SYSTEMSPECS EXPLAINS REMITA BENEFITS TO BANKS’

SystemSpecs Nigeria, a leading financial software maker, has said its new electronic payment application, Remita, is designed to meet government’s expectation on electronic payment as directed by President Umaru Yar’ Adua.

The firm stated this in a statement on Friday, following the conclusion of a special workshop for selected bankers in Lagos to discuss and share experience on e-payment and the Remita solution.

Remita is a corporate e-payment solution that rides on secured e-payment platforms to deliver funds to bank accounts and associated schedules to relevant bodies.

It enables schedules delivery and notifications to beneficiaries at the click of a button.

With Remita companies can pay vendors, suppliers and staff salaries. Pension contributions and all forms of taxes can also be remitted from the comfort of the office.

According to the Head, Remita Business Development Group, Dr. Akin Oduntan, “Remita remains the only real-time multi-bank e-payment solution in Nigeria today. What this means is that, with Remita you don’t have to deal with several banks at the same time to make payments.

“From a single screen, you can view your consolidated bank balance from all banks and make payments electronically. We are excited about this product and the ease of payment it has given to users.”

The Managing Director SystemSpecs, Mr. John Obaro, explained that e-payment offered users the ability to pay suppliers, vendors and staff salaries at the touch of a button.

“With Remita, you can send all your payment instructions to all your banks electronically and receive feedback immediately,” he said.
