SystemSpecs has won the National Information Technology Merit Award (NITMA) as the Software Company of the Year at a well attended event in Lagos organized by the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS).

John Obaro, Managing Director of SystemSpecs who spoke after receiving the award on behalf of the company said.

“We have received several awards in the past, but this is different and in a very special class of its own. This is recognition by colleagues in industry and we are most grateful to them all. We are humbled by this recognition and the responsibility it has conferred on us, as flag bearers of the Nigerian software industry. SystemSpecs would continue to put her best foot forward at all times. We will also continue to strive for excellence in all that we do to protect the integrity of the award and the industry. We thank the NCS for this honour.” says Obaro.

“NITMA selection process and online voting for nominees were transparent. None of our winners had any pre-knowledge of what the final outcome of the result would be. These have brought additional credibility and excitement to the award.

NITMA is designed by NCS to acknowledge, celebrate and reward outstanding corporate organizations and individuals in Nigeria who have played major roles in the development and growth of Information Technology.
